All our students are required to wear riding hats, which we can supply.

Beginner’s to Horse Archery Weekend Camps
Max 10 persons.
Course Content
The course content offers an extension to the one day course and includes the following:
An introduction to Horseback Archery including the history of Horse Archery, modern competition rules and information on the bows and arrows used.
Techniques on the ground - we use the thumb draw as we mostly practice Korean style archery but Mediterranean style is also practiced.
Speed nocking and nocking your arrows on the move, including fun team games
Shooting from horseback – your speed will depend on your rider confidence and safety and maybe even to end the weekends learning a fun competition!
We do require you to be confident at canter and happy to learn to ride without reins.
We also provide advice on buying bows, arrows, training horses for Horseback Archery and all other equipment.
You must be able to canter confidently to attend this weekend course
intermediate / advanced Weekend Camps With special guest instructor
We are delighted to be able to offer an Intermediates and Advanced Horse Archery 2 day weekend camping course here at The Centre of Horseback Combat with one of the world’s best Horseback Archers -Mihal Cozmei who is currently living in Finland.
Mihal has achieved the highest grading HA7 and competes in International competition and hosts clinics all around the globe.
Mihal makes his own bows and has such vast knowledge on horseback archery techniques so you’ll be sure to learn new skills and improve on what you know already.

Riding level: min confident canter.
Archery level: Able to shoot at least one arrow from a horse at trot and
/or canter.
Sorry no beginners to Horseback Archery on this weekend, we have beginners camps available.

Accommodation arrangements
You are welcome if you so wish to pitch your tent up in our fields on our home base on the stunning 2000 acre Gaddesden country estate whilst enjoying two days of Horse Archery training.
We have a hot shower onsite. You are also welcome to stay in a nearby B&B or hotel, we have some suggestions on our Q and A page.
On all camps local pub lunch is provided both days (but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer or have dietary requirements) and camping with a evening BBQ on the Saturday night and we will have some extra fun learning throwing knives on this special weekend course. We also progress on and look at new styles and techniques on day two.
